Good Party (GOOD)
Founded: 2018.
GOOD was launched in December 2018 under the leadership of Patricia de Lille. Its 2024 election manifesto is organised around four stated pillars — social, economic, spatial and environmental justice — and proposes a R999 monthly basic income grant, public infrastructure investment, accelerated land reform and a rapid move to renewable energy. The party also publishes a Cape Town local government plan focused on affordability, housing on public land and giving sub-councils more decision-making power.
